We have 2 fantastic locations, Shillings & Pence Cottage in beautiful Bullarto or our 3 cottages in Daylesford. Imagine waking to bird song, crisp clean air and complete privacy. Private forest walking tracks, picnic spots in the forest, and an afternoon aperitif in the Pavilion overlooking the water. Maybe even a little paddle around the lake in the Love Boat. Sit on the veranda at dusk and lookout for our resident wombats, breaking thru the fence line looking for roots and leaves to eat. SHILLINGS & PENCE COTTAGE
When staying at Shillings over the Christmas period, you will find the cottage filled with Christmas joy. Think Christmas tree, decorations, lights, music and little Christmas treats for you to enjoy. A hamper may be ordered prior to your arrival, to be enjoyed in the private courtyard, or at Paradise Picnic Point, which is a short walk from the cottage in the Wombat Forest. Imagine lounging beside a cosy log fire in the Pavilion which overhangs the water, maybe a paddle in the Love Boat. All this and so much more, and all within strolling distance from your cottage. |
RETRO A small deck awaits your arrival into this sun drenched apartment. This very 70’s quirky apartment features, a large lounge, separate full kitchen/dining, large bedroom with ensuite. All within walking distance to the main street of Daylesford, local pubs and the fabulous Sunday market. Daylesford Spa Country Railway now stops at Passing Clouds Winery, stay for lunch (bookings essential) or grab some local produce, cook up a storm in this full kitchen, and head back in time to the seventies when orange was huge & laminex was new. |
BIRCH VILLA This villa is filled with natural light, sun streaming thru this north facing Villa overlooking the garden; hopefully the bulbs will be flowering. A small outdoor area awaits an evening aperitif. A large lounge, dining area with separate bedroom & ensuite. Linen curtains flowing onto the Baltic floor boards, along with French provencial styling, this lovely villa is a perfect place to relax & enjoy. Grab provisions from the local markets or maybe a cheeky takeaway from one of the restaurants, a nice alternative to eating out and a great way to enjoy your surrounds. A great location to stay put & not drive. |
THE GARDEN ROOM The garden Room is surrounded by a huge private garden & deck. Relax under the 100 year old walnut tree, (that the cockies seem to love) a traditional wood fire BBQ, that never seems to get used, but maybe over the Christmas period an adventurous couple may venture out to Daylesford Meat Co or Tonna's for some fresh organic fare. The smell of a wood BBQ never disappoints. BBQ not your thing?, then options are endless, Farmers Arms Hotel is within walking distance, Wombat Botanical Gardens café is simply delicious, serves an excellent breakfast pizza and Cliffy's is a favourite with the locals. |
